I managed to find a torrent of all the Gundam Wing OSTs, and so downloaded them. Mina! This means you don't have to send me those CDs now... I know they were giving you headaches, and thank you for being so nice in offering them to me. I still don't have Last Impression, but I can probably find that somewhere... maybe...

Ah well. In any case, this should save you some time.

Other than that, not a lot went on yesterday for me. I had the anime club meeting, which was fun. I might be going to a convention in Vancouver on the third weekend of August. If I can afford it - we'll see what my savings are like at that point.

It'd be fun, though.

I watched two more episodes of Gundam Seed - one yesterday in the late afternoon and one this morning. Eleven more to go. I'll be interested to see what happens, that's for sure. I find blondie and the stoner triplets kind of annoying, and I'm told they last for the rest of the series. Yippee.

Ah well...

I work tonight. Which sucks, but ah well. I need to make SOME money.

I actually didn't watch any more Gundam Seed episodes yesterday, although I did watch several Gundam Wing episodes this morning. That series is so awesome, I love it.

What I did do yesterday was set up my new project, which is a webcomic that I've been working on with Jeremy and Sarah for about a month now. Sarah and I created the characters and brainstorm scenarios together. I write the dialogue and Jeremy does the artwork. Then I clean up scans and put the words in. It's a lot of fun so far.

Anyway, I finally got a keenspace account, prettied up the generic website they generate, and now the comic is online. There's only one strip up so far - I'm going to update weekly, on Saturdays.

But anyway, for those who are interested, it's called Artificial Sanity, and it's up here. If you do take a look, let me know what you think.

I'm a little nervous about how it's going to go over, but I guess that's understandable. I hope people like it. It's silly and all, but fun.

I think that's all I have to report today... I have an anime club meeting later on, but that's about all.
silverthunder: (Jyou - It can't end like this)
So I suffered something of a minor fiction burnout yesterday... heh. I spent four hours or so reading College Roomies from Hell, which is not as good as it used to be. I liked it when it was all crack, but now it's serious crack and not as good. And it has not one, but TWO love trianges. You guys all know how I feel about love triangles.

Meh. Oh well.

So after that, I decided that before I went to bed, I would watch an episode of Gundam Seed. Just one episode.

One episode that turned into four.

Now, Gundam Seed has a very good plot and appealing characters, and I love the series. But it's also terribly, TERRIBLY sad. More so than Gundam Wing, and that series had its depressing moments too. Any series that's about war is going to be sad, anyway.

It took me at least two hours to get to sleep last night.

I woke up this morning and watched two more episodes. Then found out my sister was on the computer doing homework, so watched another one. Yesterday at this time, I'd watched up to episode 30. I just finished 37 now.

I still have yet to see those three stoners guys who are in the third opening sequence. I have a good idea of who they are, but haven't seen them yet. I think they're in the next episode.

Also noticed that the second little mid-point thing has Kira and Laccus now instead of Athrun and Laccus. Cute!

Also, are we supposed to care about what's happening to Fllay? I wish they'd just kill her off already and get it over with. Why the hell she's lasted this long is beyond me... I can't decide who I hate more, her or La Cruz (or whatever his name is). Someone should just collapse a building on them.

I think I might polish this series off pretty quickly now. It's gotten to the point where I just want to keep watching.

On the other hand, I watched an episode of Gundam Wing before I went to bed, and reflected on how much more that series appeals to me. Don't get me wrong, I love both series, but Wing is just... more appealing to me than Seed. I couldn't say why.
silverthunder: (Edward and Alphonse - Sleep sounds good)
So I watched episode 30 of Gundam Seed yesterday. I cried terribly during the part with Athrun at the beginning. Damnitall... too depressing.

Anyway, though... It's a good series. I just don't think it's going to make it to obsession level. I don't like it nearly as much as Gundam Wing, either.

Ah well. Whatever.

I did watch the first four episodes with Jeremy last night, and he likes it as well. So far, I think he's still just trying to get everyone's names down and take in the plot at the same time. I remember that feeling... It does last for a while.

More stuff for the new project! We worked on that last night for a while... Poor Jer has a lot to do now. I keep coming up with new ideas. It's so fun, though!

And he admits it's cool to work on something like this together. I can see a lot of good coming out of it. It's the first time I've collaborated with my boyfriend on anything writing-related - although it makes sense, considering.

Anyway. Fun!

And I'm off to class this morning... not so fun. But it's not a long class.
silverthunder: (Nicol - Never forgotten)
I watched episode 29 of Gundam Seed yesterday. And cried. It was very, very sad.

I'm sure the next episode will be even more sad. Since now it's happened, and other characters will react... Wah...

His last line killed me. Seriously.

But, I recovered. Went online and was saved by webcomics and a chat with Karasu over a Mary-Sue quiz and characters who didn't qualify as Mary-Sues wanting to be the ones wearing the pink shirt with "I am Mary-Sue" on it so they could harass other characters. (don't ask)

Other than that, yesterday was pretty okay. Had lab in the morning, where we did some neat stuff. Then I had to write a report about it, but I got that out of the way fairly quickly. It's all good now!

I still have a pre-lab report for next week, but I can do that later.

I'm... not really sure what to say now. I watched some Gundam Wing last night. That, too, made me feel better. I love GW. It's so wonderful.
silverthunder: (Wolfram - So not fair)
New icon... Wolfram from Kyou Kara Maou. Heh. The expression was just too perfect to pass up.

Yesterday was... fun... I had classes all day, so yeah. Really great. And last night's class would've been good, seeing as how it's creative writing, but I developed a headache about halfway through, and that kind of spoiled it.

In better news, I got inspired last night and wrote my poem for next week before I went to bed. We're still doing symbolist poem, although next week we're going to start surrealist poetry - he mentioned an in-class writing exercise, which will probably be fun.

I'm already thinking about my play. I'd like to use the idea I had in 'The Spirit of Things', but less humorous and with original characters, of course. I have a few ideas.

This morning I have lab. And after I'm done, I'll have a report to write for next week. Bleh. Oh well.

Such is life, I suppose. After lab today, I have nothing else going on, so I'm going to goof off and not get anything done. I found a very funny new webcomic, so I'm reading through the archives. I've got a long way to go - but that's a good thing.

Still haven't watched episode 29. I intend to do that some time after lab this morning... but it might not happen. We'll see.
silverthunder: (Touya and Yukito - Serenity)
Well, the weekend is over, and I'm not really all that sad to see it go. Hey, I worked all weekend - and work sucks.

I did ask for my vacation pay, though - it's been building up for quite some time. I intend to put it in a separate bank account and save it for when I'm done school and can actually use it for a vacation.

I figure it's better to have it collect a bit of interest rather than just sit there.

I watched episode 28 of Gundam Seed yesterday. It was very interesting. I liked the bit at the end with Kira and Athrun. And we say farewell to the first ending theme... Just before they play the new one (ugh).

I don't want to watch 29... I'll continue to whine about it. And if you think THIS is whining, wait until you see me after I *have* watched it.

I have my long day today for school... It's not that bad, though. I don't start until noon anyway. I finish at ten tonight. I also won't be staying up late, since I have an earlier class tomorrow.

Ah well...
silverthunder: (Edward and Alphonse - Sleep sounds good)
I don't want to work this morning... Bleh. I've gotten way too used to sleeping in; now I can't handle getting up early any more.

Oh well.

So yesterday I went on a anime-watching binge... I figured I might as well, since I don't have any real homework yet, but I will probably start getting some soon enough. I watched five episodes of Gundam Seed - meaning the last one I got through yesterday was 27.

Of course, 26 was a flashback episode, so you could say I got through four episodes that actually had new material.

I didn't even need a flashback. I remember what happened. Stupid pieces of filler...

I still don't want to watch episode 29... Gah. It's killing me. Spoiler )

I'll manage, though. The series is pretty neat, although it looks like they're going to throw in some more characters - as if there aren't enough already. I need to keep track of *more* people? Hopefully they don't have impossible-to-pronounce names, like Milli-whats-her-face.

If I had somehow been watching Gundam Wing and Gundam Seed at the same time, I'd be going insane. Too many characters! How do the writers manage?

I still haven't seen any females as all-around cool as Sally and Noin... And I guess I probably won't. Cagalli's all right, I guess, but not really *cool*. And of course you can't match the FMA females for awesome-ness.

I've been spoiled, I think. I get too easily annoyed with the usual anime female brand now.
silverthunder: (Heero - Impress me)
Um. I just wrote an entire entry and then deleted it. Gaaaaah.

I'm going to make this short, because now I'm irritated. I got stuff done yesterday. Fanfic, and new project. Both seem to be moving right along. Game Over is being neglected, but I'll get back to it at some point.

Blind Target came in for me at Chapters, and I read it. Very nice artwork. Scary het aside, it's a very pretty manga. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I'm waiting for three things from Amazon now - but they will be a while, I think. Shipping estimate is Jan 25 - Feb 7. So yeah, I'll be waiting for a bit, but for two manga and a new book to read, I can be patient. It'll be worth it in the end.

I work tomorrow. Not looking forward to it, but it's good that I seem to be scheduled mostly for weekends now, because weekdays are somewhat inconvenient due to my class scheduling.

We'll see about that, I guess.

Our lab for this particular class was not cancelled - so I have lab from 10-11 this morning. I'm not used to getting up at 8:30 any more. I'll have to get used to it, though, since I work at nine this Sunday, and have lab at nine on Tuesdays. Plus today's class.

But still. Seems too early now.

Ah well...

I've officially finished watching Gundam Wing with Jeremy. Next week, we are starting Gundam Seed and a show of his he wants me to watch. It's good if we go slower with Gundam Seed, though, because I haven't seen all of it yet and I want to watch it by myself first.

Even episode 29... bleh...

Got some more work done on the new project, though. Excellent. It looks like that may be a go. I need to do more when I get home from school today, though.

And then I can finally put things into motion somewhat.

It'll be fun.
silverthunder: (Touya and Yukito - Serenity)
I finally watched episodes 27 and 28 of Kyou Kara Maou... had them for quite a while, but didn't actually watch them until now. Damn, they were good... But now I have to wait for the next episode. Gah.

Don't wanna wait. Want more now.

Meh. Oh well.

I also watched the Digimon X-Evolution special, which was... bizarre. I only vaguely understood what was going on, and at the end, I think I understood less than I did at the beginning. There was also a failure of characters who died to STAY DEAD. This happens in Digimon sometimes, but in this case, it was more immediate and noticeable and... well, kinda dumb.

It was an engaging movie, especially for having no human characters. But not the greatest.

And this morning I watched episode 22 of Gundam Seed... I still sorta think Cagalli is an interesting character - especially for an anime female - but I wished they would just let her fight in this episode. What's the point of keeping that second unit inside? She's being practical - *they* are being morons. More fighting!

Yeah. Other than that, felt very depressed when they showed Nicol saying goodbye to his parents at the end and then talking with Athrun about his concert. Twist the knife a little more, why don't you?

Darn it all...
silverthunder: (Edward and Alphonse - Sleep sounds good)
Well, yesterday kind got off to a really bad start. I had class at eleven - except I didn't have class at eleven, because that class had been moved to five o'clock. Very inconvenient time for me.

Thus, I had to find another class - not actually that hard, since I'd been considering a different class already anyway, and it was at a convenient time. The only reason I hadn't picked it up for this term was because I was taking the main prerequisite to it last semester and wanted to be sure I'd passed before I registered for it.

Also, there's a lesser prerequisite that I'm only just taking this semester, but the instructor was really nice, and since I'd got an A in the main prerequisite, he let me take it.

So I have class at noon now instead of eleven. All is good. I spent the hours from eleven until four at the school, most of which were occupied worrying and fretting and freaking out and trying to get my schedule straightened out. I didn't get to eat lunch until moments before my three o'clock class, when I had an overpriced sandwich from the cafeteria.

But enough of sob stories. It's over now, and things are worked out.

Creative writing looks like it's going to be fun. Even though it's poetry, I'm very glad I decided to take that one this semester. The instructor seems nice, and the course looks intersting. 50% of our grade is for ten poems we'll be writing, and 50% is for the play we'll be writing. It'll be a one-act play, only about ten - fifteen pages.

I'll have fun with it.

I'm very glad lab was cancelled for this morning, though... it means I have a day off to relax for a while before getting back into things again tomorrow.

Maybe I'll try and write that poem for next week's class.

silverthunder: (Alphonse - I'll pass)
Well, it is the first day of school. Fun times. I have class at eleven, three, and seven today. Three hours between each one. Oddly enough, I don't mind this prospect. Leave me enough time to go home in between.

Besides, having a three-hour class tonight means I have less class during the rest of the week. I only have *one* class on Fridays now.

Excellent.

Yesterday, I ordered a bunch of stuff. A novel by Lorena Manuel - I didn't know she had a novel. I should've bought this a long, long time ago. Also Gundam Wing: Blind Target, which I bought with Johanna's gift card and which I am looking forward to despite the promise of scary het. It has nice artwork. The other things I ordered were Eerie Queerie volume four (I know, I know, one day I'll get the rest of it as well) and Digimon Tamers volume four (I'm long overdue in buying that one).

So, yeah. I'll probably have Blind Target before I get the rest, but it's all good. I qualified for free shipping from Amazon.ca. Heh.

Other than that, not much is going on. I'm a little nervous about school. Eek...
silverthunder: (Quatre - Don't give me that look)
My vacation appears to be over... I work tonight, and then school starts tomorrow. It was nice while it lasted, I suppose. I didn't get a whole lot accomplished, especially as far as Game Over is concerned. I'm afraid I've neglected that story terribly over the past little while.

I'm giving it a break. Don't want to force it.

And, yes, I'm working on something else. Several other things, in fact. I'm not saying a word yet... We'll see how things go, and maybe I'll bring them up here later on for those who are interested.

I still have two episodes of Kyou Kara Maou unwatched and a bunch of Gundam Seed. For KKM, I can say that I know these episodes get serious, and I want to wait until I have more of it before I start watching. For Gundam Seed, I have no real excuse. Other than that I'm avoiding getting to episode 29.

Can't keep that up forever, and I do want to watch more, but still.

Bah.
silverthunder: (Trowa - Smile)
Before I forget AGAIN, here's something I forgot to include in yesterday's entry. I finished that scanlation - this is the last of my Hikaru no Go doujinshi. It's called 24:00, the pairing is Akira/Hikaru, and it is not for kiddies. So if you don't like depictions of the characters having sex, do not download this one.

In any case, you can get it here. Enjoy!

In other news, I did nothing yesterday. Is that news? I've been doing nothing pretty much every day.

Anyway. It snowed. A lot. Roads were really bad, and flights were cancelled. We have a lot of the stuff on the ground right now - the little boys across the street have built forts. They don't even really need to pile snow - they just have to find a drift and dig a hole in it.

It's crazy. But then again, not that unexpected.

I think I might head up to Chapters today and see about spending that $15 Gift Card Johanna gave me as the Secret Santa gift. That could be fun. Driving through the snow won't be, but it's not like I haven't done that before.

Good times.
silverthunder: (Heero - Impress me)
It's snowing AGAIN.

ARGH!

I hate snow. Seriously. This is depressing - especially this close to when I'll be returning to school. I'm going to have to walk through this shit. And I'll have to drive through it to work on Sunday, too.

Bah.

Hate it. Hate snow. Evilness.

In other news, my computer is being extremely slow. Microsoft Word takes forever to open or save things. The 'open' or 'save' box will come up quick enough, but you won't have any folder options for five to ten minutes. If at all.

Very, very annoying. I want to kick my computer - but then of course I'd have nothing, and that would be worse. Margh.

Other than that, I haven't got much going on. I've done little to no writing, and when I do, I keep contemplating new things rather than working on my old ones.

I'm way too fickle, I think.
