You know, they should've made Ken an image song for before and after he was evil. Then he'd have two. Not that I don't like this one, but then I'd have another one in addition to it.

I just like listening to Paku Romi sing and sound kind of evil right now, just because. You know. The fact that she does a voice in FMA as well and not an evil one.

Unless Ed somehow turns evil... I think that would massively screw things up, though.

So far, the anime is still loosely following manga canon. Going in the same basic direction, that is. I'm wondering when they're going to split and go their separate ways. I haven't seen all of the manga yet, so I might not find out at all.

Ah well.
silverthunder: (Default)
Well, I've read through all of my new manga volumes... lovely stuff, that. All of it was very good. And I've watched up to episode 17 of Fullmetal Alchemist. It was kind of interesting to see a tiny bit of background on Roy. I didn't read spoilers or anything, but I kind of had the feeling that he was involved with that...

Ah, anyway. They changed the scenes with Scar from the manga, but it was interesting. I think I possibly prefer the manga version, but the anime version was awesome too.

So, about time to land Ed in the hospital? In a few episodes, no doubt...

I also got a card in the mail from my grandmother. It included a $100 gift card for Chapters. Excellent! I plan to order the first three Tamers manga if they have them available.

Hung out with Jo and V last night, which was fun. We walked up to the 7-11 and then talked through the Today show at V's house.

Nice way to spend an evening. At least, I think so.

Well, yesterday was pretty fantastic... I had a fabulous birthday - if only because nothing could've ruined it after I got the Les Miserables tickets from my parents.

My Fullmetal Alchemist DVDs arrived in the mail yesterday as well... just in time for my birthday, which is perfect. They're not the greatest - some episodes skip - but I can generally get them working long enough to watch an episode or two at a time undisturbed, and that's perfectly good enough for me.

Episodes one through forty, all for me!

I went out for dinner with my friends and boyfriend last night, and received lots of manga. I am very happy with that. Volume two of D.N.Angel, volume two of Gravitation, volume one of Clamp Campus Detectives, and one that I already had but will exchange for volume one of Tokyo Babylon.

An excellent haul, really.

I also got a new pen and a mini book on palm reading. Now I won't ever have to pay $15 to get mine read! (Not that I would've anyway, but still) Thanks, V!

So last night we hung out at V's house and watched Fullmetal Alchemist and the Today show. And then some random channel surfing. It was a very enjoyable evening.

I also watched episodes thirteen and fourteen of Fullmetal Alchemist this morning. Thirteen was AWESOME. Roy is such a dork. I love how the miniskirt fetish made its way into the anime as well. And poor Ed... but at least he didn't get roasted and carted out on a stretcher like he did in the manga.

Funny, funny stuff. I love it.

I forgot to mention this in the first entry... and since I didn't update until now, I figured I'd just make another post.

I'd wait until tomorrow, but there are a couple of people on my friends list who mentioned that they would like to know as soon as I updated, so... here.

Chapter two of Game Over is up at FictionPress.

Enjoy! And let me know what you think. Bad or good.

On a side note, I am at peace with the postal system again. Life is good.

Birthday!

It is August the 9th and I am 22 years old today.

Hooray!

I intend to celebrate with my friends tonight, so last night I had a small family celebration. My parents gave me a gift and took me and one of my sisters (the only one who could go) out for dinner. Pizza and cheesecake, yummy.

I got some new clothing from my parents... and...

A ticket to go see Les Miserable in Vancouver!

There are a few people who will know how exciting this is for me. I was ecstatic. No matter what now, it's been a good birthday. I am incredibly happy. I also can't wait for November 13th now, since that's when the ticket is for.

Yay yay yay!

Oh, also, according to the newspaper, it is also Eric Bana's birthday today. That is kinda neat.

Well, yesterday wasn't the greatest...

First of all, work sucked. That happens a lot. It was just one thing after another, really. The drycleaning machine was leaking again, this time from a different place. So I had soapy water on the floor and no idea where it was coming from. Then I had to clean the lint screen on the big dryer, which turned out to be full of feathers. Feathers are EVIL. They get everywhere. It was not fun cleaning them up.

Thankfully, the laundromat quieted down after about 7:30, and I got everything done on time.

I'm also reading a nice original story that is starting to get a little bit annoying. There's one plot element I feel is being overused. I'm starting to lose interest in some of the characters, and one romantic situation was handled in a way I didn't like.

Oh well...

I forgot to mention yesterday that Friday was an anime club meeting. So we watched Naruto, Get Backers, D.N.Angel and Sailor Moon. The rest of the meeting was discussion, which was a lot of fun.

Episode 12 of Digimon 02 is up, so I downloaded that and watched it. Not bad. My favorite part was Daisuke and Iori tied up in the jail. Amused me greatly.

I also downloaded episodes 11 and 12 of Fullmetal Alchemist, and have watched episode 11. I'll probably watch episode 12 when I get home from work this afternoon.

Should be fun.

The weather's gone strange again. It was so hot earlier this week... now it's raining and cold. It's a real relief, actually. I'm *cold*! Yay!

Heh. Anyway.

I hate waiting for things in the mail. It makes me antsy and I have a hard time getting things done. Which might explain why Game Over is creeping along at barely a crawl. Bah.

Hopefully they'll be here on Monday. In any case, I'm hoping to post chapter two of Game Over then.

I'm hoping for a few things on Monday. But that's understandable.

Almost August 9th already... I can't believe summer's gone by so fast. Ugh. And soon I'll be back to *school*. Evil.

Ah well.
silverthunder: (Default)
I have no more FMA to watch... I am sad. It's been a few days now. But hopefully I'll get the rest of the episodes that are out soon... hopefully.

I'm still sad, though.

In better news, I'm seven pages into part three of Game Over. I managed to get through everything I basically wanted to have happen during Shane's school day... I think it's time to move on to finding Links.

I was also talking to Jer last night about it. He read chapter one and really liked it, which I am happy about. So I was bouncing ideas off of him. It worked out pretty well.

I really love this story. I want to do well with it.

I guess that's obvious, though.
silverthunder: (Default)
I have two days off now. It's glorious.

Last night at work wasn't as bad as Tuesday night. But I feel much better now that it's over. Evil work.

Anyway, yesterday I managed to get some writing done. I'm about five pages into the third part of Game Over. Considering how long each part seems to be, that means I've probably got about fifteen pages to go.

The title of part three is going to depend on how long it takes to get Shane through his first illusion.

I also added a scene I hadn't planned to add... but it accomplishes several purposes. Even if it seems pointless to most people. Romantic tension, mostly, but also helpful when Zinc figures out Coal is an active Guide as well...

So many plans... so little time left in the summer to write this at my leisure.

Work was very annoying last night. I had four bachelor services to do - nine loads total. Stupid morning people. Do they have no concept of how long it takes us to do laundry *and* our usual evening cleaning? I was rushing around most of the night and ended up going home exhausted.

And I work again tonight. Ick.

Oh well...

I watched episode ten of FMA yesterday. I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to think of it. Psiren was... interesting. It amused me that Al was willing to take her word despite the evidence against her and Ed was more like "She's lying, you idiot."

Could she not also get arrested for offering him sexual favors as a thank you for saving her? He's fifteen...

Then again, the threat of being arrested probably wouldn't bother her. But still.

Maybe I just misinterpreted that.

So, yesterday I had to work in the morning and we went to see Spiderman 2 in the evening. Finally. It's hard to believe it's been a month since it came out, and I still hadn't seen it.

Craziness.

Anyway, though, it was decent. Not the best movie I've ever seen, but then, I wasn't terribly enthusiastic over the first one. It was a good movie, but I'm not going to rave ecstatically over it.

Ah well.

Er, other than that, yesterday was uneventful. I slept and read a few stories and worked on mine a little bit. That's about all.
silverthunder: (Default)
Okay. For those of you who don't check regularly, Wolf Pack Productions now has a preview up for Digimon Adventure. Which means that they will be subtitling the first season along with the other three.

All four seasons. Subtitled!

Even if no one else is excited, *I* am. Digimon Adventure was my first anime, and for me this is big news. I can't wait to see how it was originally.

Yeah, I'm happy! Very!

Anyway, other than that, I went to see the Village with V yesterday. It was pretty interesting. Not scary, of course, but I thought it was decent. Not too bad at all.

We're going to see Spiderman 2 today. *Finally*.

I also watched episode nine of Fullmetal Alchemist. Which was very like chapter three, but in flashback rather than present day and with that Lyra person added in. I'm glad the flashback stuff is over now, though - time to move forward.

Subtitled Digimon Adventure! I'm so not recovering from that any time soon... I can't wait!
silverthunder: (Default)
So I got part two of Game Over finished yesterday... Definitely a good thing. All of the other Players were introduced - the only characters I haven't brought in yet are their Guides.

That'll be later, and they're not major.

Surprisingly, it's pretty easy to come up with titles for each of the chapters. Part one was 'Guidance', part two is 'Players', and part three will be 'Links'. Nice and simple.

I'm not sure about part four yet, but we'll get to it when we get to it.

This seriously has the potential to turn into a much longer series than I really intend it to. I could end it after this one fic, but I could also continue it. I have more the a few ideas on how to go about that...

Ah, we'll see if I'm not sick of it by then.

Also, went out for dinner for Sarah's boyfriend's birthday. She basically wanted me there so that she wasn't stuck with just him and his friends.

It wasn't too bad, though.

And today, V and I go to see the Village. Which is supposedly not very scary. I guess we'll find out for sure when we see it.
silverthunder: (Default)
Well, yesterday I got a nice big chunk of work done on my original fic, and decided to post the first part. I'm having a lot of fun with this!

Anyway, though, for anyone who's interested, you can find the first part of Game Over here.

I'll also be putting it up on my site very soon.

Yeah, I really like this one. I actually think it's coming along great. So any comments are much appreciated. Any at all.

Other than that, I watched episode eight of Fullmetal Alchemist yesterday. I've decided that I definitely prefer manga Winry to anime Winry. I get flashbacks from about a million other anime females when faced with anime Winry. Manga Winry was way more fun.

I liked that episode, though. Not too bad.
silverthunder: (Default)
I did next to nothing yesterday... Well, I watched a few episodes of Digimon Frontier, just because I can. I didn't watch my daily episode of Fullmetal Alchemist, but that's probably a good thing - they'll last longer now.

I only have three left, and then I have to wait.

Darn it all...

I also work tonight, but then I have the whole weekend off. Then I work on Monday, which is a holiday. And Tuesday, and Wednesday.

I guess it's not such a terrible thing, since I'm so bored. At least I'll be making money.
silverthunder: (Default)
I am pretty bored. I think the problem is that I don't feel like doing anything. I could be reading or writing, but I just don't feel like it. I've limited myself to one new episode of FMA a day since I don't want to run out.

I want to watch MORE.

Unfortunately, I don't have that many downloaded.

Darn it all...

Well, I've also been watching episodes of Digimon Frontier that were recently made available in batch torrents - ones I haven't seen yet. So, six through about eleven.

I never really got into Frontier, though. It's the only season of Digimon I haven't been interested enough in to write fanfiction for.

Heh. Oh well.
silverthunder: (Default)
So, yesterday I watched episode six of FMA, and did pretty much nothing else. Summer is wonderful.

Actually, I did get some writing done. I have *finally* introduced the other Players... I'm actually thinking about posting chapter one pretty soon, since I'm halfway through chapter two now.

I also embarrassed poor Shane. He made an idiot of himself in front of Devon. These things happen, though.

There was an old episode of Law and Order: SVU on last night that I watched with my sisters. We'd all seen it, but it was a big high school flashback type thing. Ugh. High school was a terrible, terrible place.

I don't think I knew anyone as nasty as those three girls, but still. It was bad.

Ah well. In the past.
silverthunder: (Default)
My four days of work are over! Now I have three nights off!

Excellent.

Er... All I did yesterday was basically chat and hang out, so nothing exciting happened.

Work wasn't too bad... There were children playing in the laundromat. I didn't mind, though. They seemed like nice children. I got the impression that this one kid would be a headache to raise. He kept running around despite the mother saying "don't run" over and over. He also tried to help me push the cart when I had to transfer laundry and then followed me until he realized I wasn't doing anything else interesting.

Kids are strange. I can still sort of remember being one, and I was strange too.
silverthunder: (Default)
Work didn't go too badly. I have another shift tonight, and then that'll be it for at least a couple of days.

Excellent.

I've finished what I've found of scanlated FMA manga... I have nothing left to read. I really liked the flashback stuff, though - I was kind of wondering about that, since the flashback in the anime starts in episode three. Not until manga volume five, though.

I also watched episode five. It was the train episode, which was my favorite chapter in the manga, but it was pretty different in the anime. Not as amusing, I thought.

Oh well.

I made a couple of decisions about the original story I'm working on - one about plot and the other more about my main character's personality and his reaction to other characters. I'm happy with both.

Hopefully I can pull this off now.
silverthunder: (Default)
Well, I have survived another shift. Two down, two to go. After this morning and tomorrow night, my four days of work will be over. Then I don't have another shift until... well, I don't know yet.

We'll see.

I finished off the six volumes of FMA that I managed to find scanlated... I am sad now. No more to read. I have episodes to watch, but still.

Oh well.

I'm sleepy. But just six hours of work, and then I can come home and have the evening off. I keep telling myself that.
